Q: iPhone 6 / iOS 8.0.2 - ringer silent when turned on, and level not displayed.
My iPhone 6 has the silent button turned off so should make a noise when a call or text is received.
When I attempt to adjust the volume using the volume button the "Ringer" window pops up, but the little squares at the bottom indicating how loud the ringer will be is not displayed. When I turn the silence button on and off these squares pop up briefly. Based on this I can see the volume buttons do increase and decrease the number of squares but the difference is not displayed until the silent button is used.
With silent turned off though, and the little squares set to 3 so that the phone should make a noise for incoming calls and texts, when a text or call is received, no sound comes out of the phone.
Any suggestions on how to resolve these 2 issues?
Do I need to replace the phone or wait for a iOS update?
Thanks
D
