No 3/8 Time Signature in Garage Band

Does anyone know how to make GarageBand correctly handle a 3/8 time signature?

As noted in the 2009 discussion on this topic 3/8 is not a common signature, but I am making rehearsal midi files for Bach's "Christmas Oratorio" which is indeed in 3/8 time. It seems that GarageBand still does not support that beat. As a work around I am using 6/8 time which at least beats the tempo correctly; however the measure counts are incorrect (half the actual measure count) which makes it harder to position the playhead where I want when following the score.

Does Apple have plans to add support for this signature in future versions?
