Feel free to send feedback to Apple.

Oct 15, 2014 10:24 AM in response to KBergmanby torreypines,The latest Aperture 5.07 digital raw camera update does indeed allow for the d810 to import raw files, but only at the 'lossless compressed' camera setting:
Go to your d810 shooting menu > NEF Raw Recording > NEF Raw Compression > select Lossless Compressed
FYI, Apple also applied the same "lossless compressed only" digital raw camera update for the Nikon D4s with Aperture update 5.05

Oct 15, 2014 10:37 AM in response to torreypinesby KBergman,Yes, I got the latest update. Now I'm shooting the full size raw files.
My problem is that the full day of photos I shot on the compressed setting don't open with Aperture. So I'm processing in Lightroom now. I prefer Aperture though:)

Oct 17, 2014 11:23 AM in response to torreypinesby General Ourumov,I think it's only the RAW "S" format that isn't supported. As long as you're shooting RAW L, it shouldn't matter what compression setting you've chosen. See the (†) note at the bottom of the support doc.

Oct 17, 2014 12:48 PM in response to General Ourumovby KBergman,Yes, you are correct about the small RAW files.
The primary problem that I have is that I have already taken the photos. In other words I'm looking to edit/process photos that I have already taken. The shoot is done. Finished. And I can't open them in Aperture.
Once I figured out that the smaller raw files can't be opened with Aperture, I switched to the full sized raw setting. So I'm good for processing future photos.
Anyone have any news about raw update for small, 9mp d810 raw files?
