I got this message while following prompts to see if my computer has been hacked. Has it?
Is that what 'remote host' means?
If so, how do I break that connection?

The Open DNS servers are:
208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220

There is also something called subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

dscl .list/users
That command asks for a list of the users contained in the Directory of the "registered local nodes on the system".
The error message you got tells you there are no registered local nodes. So there are no Servers holding Directory data that is automatically provided to your computer.
Ok, but can it mean I've been hacked?
By itself, that message makes it LESS likely that there is anything other than you controlling your own Mac. But you need to use the whole script, which checks for a lot of different kinds of hacks.
