Microphone on headphones not working anymore.

So I have a macbook pro and I got the new pair of headphones with the integrated mic and remote. I just plugged it in to my computer and it started working and I could tell a big difference in the mic quality between the headphones and the computer.

So I was playing a multiplayer game and using my mic and it just, shut off. I unplugged it, plugged it back in, nothing worked. I tried to see if my original computer mic worked and it did. I don't know if there is like a mute button or something that I'm forgetting. Please help.
