Print Problem

Dear all,

I would like to know how to print to networked Canon MP287 which connect to Windows 7 Home Premium workstation from MacBook Air OSX 10.9.5 . I have difficulty to print to this printer. Print advise.

Is the printer plugged by USB into the Windows computer?

Is it networked to the airport or plugged in by USB?

The printer was plugged by USB into the Windows computer. I have tried all the methods that suggested from the KB. Although I was able to add printer from the network. But when I sent to print, I saw "hold on for authentication" at the print queue. There is no password set for the Windows computer.

Do you have a user and password that is identical on both computers.. that can help loads.

Otherwise perhaps plug the printer into the mac so you get all the drivers right and check that it prints .. then see if you can get it to connect as share from the windows machine again.

Did you install the windows version of bonjour for windows.. that might also help loads.
