No return when opening an iCal event from Safari?

I don't know if this is just an issue with my old grumpy iPad 2 or if it's actually a general iOS 8 bug. When trying to add an iCal event in Safari, the calendar view opens fine (inside Safari) but there's no way to close the calendar window afterwards. You can't tap anywhere else on the screen, no close button, no back button, no swiping it away. So this renders Safari completely unusable and a forced shutdown of Safari is necessary.

If anyone feel like trying this, go for example to: https://addthisevent.com and click Add to calendar > iCal Calendar.

Using iOS 8.0.2.

Thanks for the quick response, your image doesn't seem to appear however?

This is what it looks like to me: http://pbrd.co/ZYTT3A

Yes as I said, force-quitting Safari helps but that shouldn't be necessary right? It can't be the website's fault if a built-in calendar view doesn't close. If I remember correctly, it worked in iOS 7 where you just had to tap anywhere outside the calendar view to close it.

I really don't think it's the page since web pages can't "manipulate" built-in iOS views. At least I can't find an example where it actually does work the way it should and used to work in iOS 7. Here's another example: http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/matchday/matches.html?paramClubId=ALL&paramCo mp_100=true&view=.dateSeason(click the Calendar icon)

Also tried it now on a iPhone with iOS 8. There it still works because there's a Done button in the upper right corner which can close the calendar view, so I'd say this is definitely a iPad/iOS8 bug.
