I've read that the fingerprint technology could be used to confirm your identity when accessing the Apple Store. However, whenever I want to download an app it ALWAYS asks for my Apple password. I have never been able to just use my fingerprint. Is this supposed to work? If so, how do I enable it?
I'm using it successfully to unlock the phone.

Try turning both Touch ID options off. Restart your iPhone then turn them back on.
In settings go to Touch ID use touch for iPhone unlock & ITunes & Apps store Make sure they are both set to on Green. Bsydd uk
I had them both set to Green. I'm still asked for password when accessing the Store.

Try and sign out of your iTunes account then sign back in again this may activate Finger print sign in for ITunes are you running iOS 8.0.2 Bsydd uk
