Q: Recurring "Document Updated" Alert

When I'm using Pages on my iPad, specifically a document created from the iCloud, I continually get a message/alert saying "Document Updated".  But this alert flashes three or four times in rapid succession.  I touch "OK" and it flashes up again.  Then again, then again.  I can't write a complete sentence without getting this alert.

 

If I continue typing without clearing the alert, anything I type gets erased.

 

I'm using Pages 1.7.2 on my iPad.  The latest release of Pages, that I'm still aware of, does not support mail merge which I desperately need for my buisness.  Thus, I have not updated to the latest Pages platform.

 

Thoughts?
