Finder does not show attached Drobo 5N on my iMac, any clues?

I have just installed a Drobo 5N on my iMac. It is attached to the system by ethernet link, which is the only means of attachment. Although it shows to be attached, when looking at the Drobo dashboard (together with my 4-drive older Drobo - which IS displayed in the Finder list of attached devices), there is no sign of this multiple disk drive on the the Finder list. How can I direct the loading of files to this drive? Simple answers would be appreciated - I'm not a techno type!

Thanks

Mine was doing the same. But I gave it some time. Eventually it did appear in the finder, but it gave me an identity login which never really works at all.

Then I went to the drobo dashboard, drobo settings, it says network settings and workgroup, hopefully your IP is in there.

Make sure your admin and password is set.

Then go up to shares. You can make a public folder. Or a user folder. Create a user name. And hopefully you will see the finder open up a new little folder with a drobo icon on it. i clicked it, and transferred 30 Gigs in about 5 mins. The connection time does lag. If you just boot up.

I haven't yet searched to see if the documents come up in shared searches.
