Q: can i connect my iphone using personal hotspot to a wireless ethernet bridge?

Hi, I have been reading about people using a jetpack (or similar wifi mobile hotspot) to connect to a wireless internet bridge and then connect the bridge to a router to provide wifi throughout a house. I was wondering if I could swap out the jetpack for my iPhone on AT&T which I can currently use as a personal hotspot (but only in a confined area). Has anyone had luck doing this? Or do you think that you could?

Thanks. I read that article prior to posting my question, actually I read about 30 articles. None of them directly spoke about wireless ethernet bridges. The closest I see is "other wireless devices".

So, is a bridge specifically considered an "other wireless device"?

If you read other articles and the apple support document doesn't specifically say anything about a bridge, then you can assume it won't work.

When using the iPhone's Personal Hotspot, you are using the cellular internet connection from the phone to set up access for other devices. You can connect computers via USB, or Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The distance is not good, as you have obviously seen from your statement. I don't believe it will connect to a router/bridge to repeat the signal. However, maybe someone has attempted that and was successful, but I'm guessing that since there is no real documentation about it, then as razmee209 stated, it probably isn't possible.

So far what I've read is that the iPhone does not support network extension or WDS.
