I accidently dragged my Download icon into the trash. How do I restore it? I followed some directions to drag documents and download to the dock. Did not work
Locate the Downloads folder in your Home folder. Select it and drag it to the right side of Dock alongside the Trashcan.
I don't know where the Home Folder is. I have checked every every icon and document I have. Nothing says Home folder. I may give up. Thank you
First, open a Finder icon by pressing its icon at the bottom of the display. It is the one at the left of the Dock.
Once you see the Finder icon, look at the left sidebar and you should find the Downloads folder. Just drag it to the left of the Trash icon, and the Downloads icon will appear again in the Dock
I did all this, but the icon is nowhere to be found. Honest. I wish I could get it out of the trash. Thank you. Mary
In finder, go to the menu bar and click on GO and then on home. Drag the downloads folder to the dock.
