Apr 19, 2015 10:46 AM in response to Marti5klby tvpa,I was in this exact situation. It's now April 2015 and this is still happening to people restoring backups on brand new phones with updated versions of iOS!! But after trying this Home button + Wake button trick, I'm back in business. My dead phone finally woke up and worked. Phew. Thanks for sharing this solution!

Apr 29, 2015 5:02 AM in response to Naj16by kauziii,Hi,
Yeaterday I got Iphone 6 plus, came to home very happy, turn it on, set it up, download some apps... then I tried to take back up from itunes and to my surprise it didn't recognise it, nor it is charging. I connect it to a wall charger, still it was not charging. Took support from apple customer care but the issue remains the same. This is so disappointing. I am using apple product for many years but never face such a problem. Now no option than to return the phone and again wait for some more time for the replacement.

May 3, 2015 8:45 PM in response to Matt_M.by JNHO,I got the same issue, even with the new update iOS 8.3. Please help! Just bought an iPhone 6, 16g. I updated it to iOS 8.3, but after the update, I had problems with the WiFi connection, which always drop off every 10 seconds. It never happened with my other Apple devices. After 48 hours, I went to the Apple Retail Store for a replacement, and fortunately, they replaced the iPhone 6 for another one right away. I decided to keep the old iOS 8.1 and not update it to iOS 8.3, because I was scared of having to deal with the WiFi problem again.
What's funny is that instead of having the WiFi problem, my new iPhone 6 constantly crashes after a blue screen appears. I searched the web, and saw that this kind of problem usually occurs with the old iOS (8.2 and lower) and the new iOS 8.3 is supposed to solve it. SOOO... I decided to finally update it to iOS 8.3, and at the same time I would test the WiFi connection. After another 48 hours of new iPhone replacement and with the iOS 8.3 update, my iPhone still crashes, and now it never comes back. The screen remains black forever even after many attempts of restoring it (home button + lock button, pressing them together from 10 seconds to 2 minutes). Even iTunes cannot restore it: ERROR 2009, 2005, 4005, 4014, 21, etc. Nothing works... but iTunes recognizes it as in "Recovery Mode". The apple logo or whatever logo never appears. I'm going back to the Apple Retail Store tomorrow, but I'm not happy because it's a waste of time and money.

May 4, 2015 8:59 AM in response to JNHOby gez83,In a similar situation JHNO. Just upgraded from a 5s to the 6+. Phone was unresponsive (broken) out of the box. Taking it back to my teleco provider, where I purchased it from tomorrow for an exchange. Have plugged it into my apple comp to update and restore it however it's unresponsive. Same error codes as you. Will post there response.
Totally freaking Lame on apples part. Not the first time I've had an issue with an iPhone and had to waste my time driving around, dealing with a problem that ought to be easily avoided. Lift your game apple!! Your QC is rubbish.
I've had 6 iphones and I've had problems with 3 of them. Can't get those odds betting on roulette.

Jun 5, 2015 2:38 PM in response to Matt_M.by BigMacUser,This thread, and your info, was really helpful, Matt. It turns out that the problem with my wife's iPhone 6 was solved with the simplest of solutions: holding down both buttons at the same time, but it did take a full 8 seconds before the restart.
However, I have a concern about this, because this has happened twice today and once yesterday, now. The iOS was already at its latest, and the battery had been between 74% and 100% each time. Both her iPhone 6 and mine were purchased at the same time in April, but I'm not running into trouble with it.
Any suggestions?

Jun 9, 2015 6:49 AM in response to Naj16by christianfromdoha,Good day all!
I was in this exact situation today. I was using my phone with mobile data and have 75% battery and then suddenly shut down. Even though I clicked the ON button nothing happened until I wait for 10-15 minutes then my phone screen appeared seems like it was just hanged up, I didn't know why, I didn't have any application open except my messenger. This is my first time to use Iphone because I was android user. Cheers!

Jul 9, 2015 1:25 PM in response to Matt_M.by znate2001,I experienced the same issue, at three days, with my 6 Plus. It was at 87% battery and just blacked out and was unresponsive. I plugged in the charger and held the Wake/Home combo for 15 seconds and it revived. I'm concerned about this being a hidden issue that may reoccur after my warranty is up.
