Siri starts automatically while playing music

First, you can try resetting your iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears. Try again to see if the problem persists.

If that does;t work and you have Hey Siri enabled, turn it off in Settings > General > Siri > Allow "Hey Siri"

i'm having the same issue. is their any known solution for this issue yet guys?

I'm having the same issue.......Siri randomly cuts in when I'm listening to music and asks to help, and music randomly pausing, skipping tracks and playing in fast forward mode.

I've done a hard restart and that didn't help

Did anyone (Apple?) come up with a solution ?

Classic - as I was typing, iTunes started playing a song on fast forward. Then Siri cut in. Then it skipped to a different song on the same record but in fast forward. Then it skipped to a different record in fast forward. And on and on.

I am having this exact problem. The last two times at the gym, both streaming music and music stored on my iPhone was interrupted by Siri. I turned off Siri and then Voice Control came on. I thought turning off streaming might do the trick, but even playback of locally stored music went completely haywire with songs skipping a few seconds at a time.

I am home now testing my Apple headphones on the iPad and had no problems. I moved the headphones back to my iPhone and have had no problems. I changed from wifi to LTE trying to see if that was the problem. It is fine now. I don't know what was happening and still can't figure this out. Maybe the mic is picking up a sound causing Siri to go on. I will try headphones with no mic to see what happens the next time I have a problem. I have an iPhone 5S running iOS 8 and didn't have this problem until I upgraded to iOS 8.

I have had problems too. Voice control coming on, song skipping around, play fast (like fast forward), and just abruptly changing songs. Oddly enough, it always happened during the same song(s) or specific album. IE, I had a Tool playlist (loaded on the phone) and certain songs would do this. If I changed to another playlist, doesn't happen. I had read elsewhere (a while back), that it had to do with using non-stock headphones, which I was. Kinda seemed related to the cord at the connector of my headphones, but not always. So a month ago, I started using the ones that came with my 6 plus. Not only have they already started crapping out on me (after only a month?!?!), but the problems have also started creeping back. I think it COULD be related to the headphones though....

You are all wrong.

The problem is your earphones. You need earbuds without the microphone feature or ones where you can shut the mic off.

It isn't the headphones. Mine does it when I am plugged into my aux cord in my car that has no microphone. Headphones aren't the problem it is something activating Siri. I have an iPhone 6
