Worthwhile buying a locked iphone -and if so, which?

Hello, I saw that buying a (2nd hand) locked iphone is cheaper than an unlocked iphone (yes I'm a newbie.) Is it worth saving 30-50 pounds buying a locked phone? And why is there a difference in price between locked phones with different providers (O2 is significantly more expensive than Orange, for example)?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys. I have another question (the forum isn't allowing me to submit new questions.)

I'm thinking of getting an iphone 3G 8GB Black. How does this compare to newer models (specifically the iphone 4) when it comes to web browsing, reading and watching videos?

Very very old will only support iOS 4.2.1 and we are now on 8.0.2

OK as a 3G phone but if you want to do anything more challenging then an iPhone 4 or 4S should be starting point

Check the deals offered by UK carriers on older iPhones

Why my iPhone cannot login to my own Apple ID either I try many ways like reset password also cannot be login? Why will be like this? Please help me solve my problems.

If you have just purchased the iPhone second hand ,it is probably asking for the Apple id of the original owner

This is activation lock

Find My iPhone Activation Lock

The original owner has to unlock it it is an anti theft provision
