Can't deactivate iCloud as old email no longer active.

I'm not the only one with this issue - But I've tried all the suggestions and nothing works.

I can't access the old iCloud email (email no longer exists). I can't change my Apple ID back to it as the system won't allow it.

The Ipad decided to go into Recovery Mode and we've lost everything on it.

And now it's borderline unusable because it constantly asks for a password to an account that no longer exists.

Anyone got any suggestions... please!!

If you can't recreate the old ID, and you no longer have access to the account to reset the password, contact the Apple account security team for assistance resetting the password for the old ID: Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security. The call should be free. If your country isn't listed, contact iTunes store support for assistance by filling out this form: https://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html.
