I upgraded to Yosemite 10.10 and when I try to open my Aperture I get a message that says "You can't use this version of Aperture 3.1.3 with this version of OSX. I tried the 3.6 upgrade but also got an error message. I need to access my photos. Hello Genius Bar.

Did you buy the boxed retail version of Aperture 3, and do you have a serial number licence?  You can only update to Aperture 3.6 from the AppStore, and for this, Aperture needs to become associated with your Apple ID. That would have been easy with the update to Aperture 3.5.1 on Mavericks, but you missed that opportunity. Contact the App Store  Support and ask for a redeem code, so you can download Aperture 3.6 from the AppSTore without having to buy Aperture 3 again.
