Pawn shop

I bought a iphone at the pawn shop. The phone wasnt charged. The pawnshop sold me the phone Ultra cheap with eh exception of no return or exchanges. which I was like what ever. when I got home. I started charging it, and turned it on. Hola screen turns on like every start up for a new activation would. But when i got to the point of going to type my Apple id in. their was already and apple id on the phone. So I called up the pawn shop asked if The previous owner left a phone number or email to contact them about the phone. they didn't leave a number but the email that was on the phone. So i went to my email and sent them a message asking to remove the phone off their account. But no reply for months. So it safe to assume that it was a fake email just so they could activate the phone so they could use it. What can I do. I would like to use the phone. Can apple remove the email for me?or something?

If you are trying to activate an iOS device and it is asking you for a previous owners Apple ID and password you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature to prevent the activation of lost or stolen iOS devices. You must enter the previous owner's Apple ID and password or contact the previous owner and ask them to erase the device and remove it from their Find My iPhone. If you purchased this device used, return it and ask them to clear the device or request a refund. Without the original owner's Apple ID and password you will never be able to use the device and no one here can help you activate it.
