Why did Apple raise its prices overnight by $200 on the iMac, including refurbished models.

Other than greed and trying to narrow the spread between the price of the old iMacs and the just-announced new iMac, why did Apple raise its prices overnight by $200 on the iMac, including refurbished models? Their existing product component costs didn't increase overnight.

Ok, thank you. I am completely new here, and don't know if you're literal about the "not allowed" part; it sounds rather censorious (if there is such a word). I thought others here might have some insight other than what is apparent. I had been looking last night at prices on iMacs and thought I'd wait a day and see what the new specs would be. Just a bit taken at the increase.
