Nov 18, 2014 3:38 AM in response to tomstephens89by henrikfromuppland,Macbook Pro 2012 reporting in, Yosemite has been an absolute disaster for my WiFi. I can't change anything on my router as I am connected to my dorm internet, thus I have been forced to downgrade.

Nov 18, 2014 3:54 AM in response to tomstephens89by JoeDredd,Hilariously I didn't have any Wifi issues on my Mid 2010 Macbook Pro, but this morning I had to switch off wireless and re-enable for the first time in a long time before it would connect.

Nov 18, 2014 5:08 AM in response to tomstephens89by njohan,i had somehow problem with Mavericks on this issue, and also with new Yosemite... anyhow i think you can solve the problem to give the WiFi the correct protocol from the menu you can se on the attached picture below, the fourth counting from topp in WiFi/Ethernet menu (text in Swedish).
I erased what i didn't need and what i needed and my WiFi and also had problem with Ethernet, so i erased everything and added the once i now i only use.
Hope that will do the trick for you :-)

Nov 18, 2014 5:13 AM in response to ramogidaby TFMonty,I had 0 problems with 10.10 yoesmite but now that I have upgraded to 10.10.1 I have severe WiFI connection issues and it appears that this updated has not been properly product tested

Nov 18, 2014 5:23 AM in response to tomstephens89by Błażej ,My MacBook Pro Retina 2014 still has a problem after upgrade to 10.10.1. WiFi works fine, but when I try to connect Magic Mouse and Wireless Kayboard Internet connection slows down and I'm not able to open single website. I'm waiting for an update. Right now I can not use my MM or WK, just because they don't work with Yosemite.

Nov 18, 2014 5:33 AM in response to uva14by kidxrude,Turned off bluetooth and like magic all internet traffic was blazing again!! Turned the bluetooth on again and it was still good. Don't know for how long this will last.
(This is after install of the latest update: 10.10. i already had some wifi problems before)

Nov 18, 2014 5:39 AM in response to kidxrudeby Monty72,I did the same today and I'm seeing a slow improvement. Ping latency appears to be dropping and download speed slowly increasing. It's now at about 40Mbps but no where near the 70Mbps I get with bluetooth off.
I'm going to leave the bluetooth on today and test it every hour or so

you are on a 2.4GHZ WLAN. Switch it to 5GHZ and watch your bluetooth issues vanish like magic.
Bluetooth does not interfere with 5GHZ WLAN. It does interfere A LOT with 2.4 GHZ. But ONLY sometime and that 'Sometime' is when the radio channel happens to be the same as the WIFI-One. And that switches a lot. So use a 5GHZ WLAN whenever you can

Nov 18, 2014 5:57 AM in response to MortenJamesCarlsenby Błażej ,You're joking, right?
How can it be possible? On Mavericks everything was fine, same router, same Mac, same Magic Mouse and Wireless Keyboard. So, I don't think it's about 5Ghz it's something with OS X.

Nov 18, 2014 6:11 AM in response to tomstephens89by Mike_Ritter,The only trouble with WI FI connectivity since upgrading to Yosemite has been with my university WI FI network. I have had no issues at home with my Airport wireless network. Still have connectivity issues at my university with the latest update.

Nov 18, 2014 6:12 AM in response to Błażejby Glenn Leblanc,Since Yosemite, I've had troubles connecting to my Time Capsule wireless. What I've noticed is that we couldn't connect to the 2.4ghz or it would drop off constantly. We could use the 5ghz with no problem. I switched off the 5ghz band in the TC configuration and had more success with the 2.4ghz. The ATT router only has a 2.4ghz band and it works fine.
At first I though my TC wireless was failing, but after seeing all the problems everyone is having, I assume it's an issue with Yosemite and not all routers. My TC is an older one. I reverted to just using the 5GHz band and don't try connecting to the 2.4ghz TC. I use the ATT Uverse router 2.4GHz band also so everyone will have a choice.
I hadn't tried connecting to the 2.4GHz on the TC since the upgrade to Yosemite. I may have to check that out to see if there are any improvements.

Nov 18, 2014 6:30 AM in response to tomstephens89by Andreas Wiehrdt,It's a shame! Weeks after Yosemite release and one update later still problems with my WiFI. This can't be true Apple!
-
Nov 18, 2014 6:40 AM in response to Andreas Wiehrdtby NicolaP,I agreed. No changes after Yosemite update 10.10.1, I had to ask a friend for an ethernet/thunderbolt device. This is not Apple like...

Nov 18, 2014 6:57 AM in response to jt19220by robdunt,I have the same problem - wifi fix not helped - still drops, works if I turn wifi on and then off. Also trackpad only works properly when MacBook Pro Retina plugged in and graphics hiccups on Photoshop and Lightroom and others when looking at all the screens I have open.
