Oct 20, 2014 7:01 PM in response to JRibbitby InsufficientEvidence,I also ran Repair Disk, it found problems, told me it could not repair them, and it also told me to format the drive, and restore from a backup. This is getting nuts. I have not yet tried this. Frankly, I am reluctant.

Oct 20, 2014 7:12 PM in response to InsufficientEvidenceby adsussman,I just ran Disk Utility to check what I would find and also found a strange series of errors on the check. There were no errors before Yosemite. And I have an SSD drive that is about 30 days old (factory installed).

Oct 20, 2014 7:44 PM in response to janicevaby InsufficientEvidence,Some dude on Reddit claimed this worked:
System Preferences > Network > Gear Icon > Set Service Order (Make Sure Wi-Fi is at the top of the list)
I am highly skeptical, but am trying it. Apologies if this suggestion was already made in this ever-growing thread. Here's the reddit link:

Oct 20, 2014 8:35 PM in response to tomstephens89by chillg8r,FWIW, I reset the PRAM, moved my network to the top of the list and went to Keychain access - System. Find your wireless network - double click. There are two tabs, Attributes & Access Control. Go into the Access Control and check "allow all applications to access this item".
My computer has been working well now for several hours so far.
I hope it works for more people and works long term for me.

Oct 20, 2014 8:38 PM in response to Somebalby Somebal,Just an FYI update, for the Bluetooth issue, I reset my MBP PRAM [hold keys 'option', 'command', 'P' and 'R' at restart] which help it & now all bluetooth devices are working . Just left is the wifi issue .

Oct 20, 2014 8:59 PM in response to MClarkSJby MClarkSJ,I am having the same issue when using my AirPort at home. I will have to see if the same issue persists when I am at work. One thing that I have just changed that appears to be working is to do the following steps:
(1) go into network preferences
(2) Select Wi-Fi on the left side
(3) Click on advanced
(4) Click on proxies
(5) Unselect all proxies (mine was set to auto proxy)
(5) Click ok
(6) Click on apply
I was loosing my connection every 30 seconds and would have to turn off Wi-Fi and then turn it back on in order to have internet connectivity. After turning off the proxy setting, I have been up now for an hour. I hope that this was the issue.
*** Update*** It has been almost 24 hours now and I have not had any issues with my Wi-Fi connection.

Oct 20, 2014 10:21 PM in response to chillg8rby JRibbit,Ah, yes, thanks for the reminder about Option. I hadn't tried to reset the PRAM in many years.

Oct 20, 2014 10:23 PM in response to InsufficientEvidenceby JRibbit,I was reluctant as well. For what it's worth, I ran Disk Utility again after the restore from a backup, and it did not find any problems at that point. I still find it hard to believe that the WiFi and Bluetooth problems were caused by file system errors, but I don't know what else to think.

Oct 20, 2014 11:44 PM in response to tomstephens89by myabakus,Hey everyone, found my fix as to why it was dropping every 2-4 minutes. I even did a reinstall. And by my I mean my I.T. buddy. Anyway my router was kicking out a double signal and yo,yo,yosemite could not make up its mind and stick with a decision. Here is my non I.T. memory, it was kicking out a WEP/WPA2 (something like that) signal. He stopped the double signal and boom baby I have wifi back.
Those other things discussed here, I tried them - did not work. System preferences and move mine to the top, delete unused or seldom used, keychain and do something i forgot - did it all.
Good luck,

Oct 20, 2014 11:44 PM in response to tomstephens89by Moubin,I tried most of the solutions posted on the thread and they provided temporary fixes. However the one with the greatest impact was turning off the Handoff feature (System Preferences > General) as mentioned by another user on the thread. It took about 10-20 minutes before it kicked in and fixed all Wifi speed and connectivity issues. Turning it back on at any point resumes all the encountered problems.

Oct 21, 2014 12:11 AM in response to cagperezby givacrap,The problem with my machine was the .plists (see image) Finder>file>find, type .plist in search. Dump the files, do a shutdown and boot up (I also reset the PRAM also) for the heck of it. Probably wouldn't hurt to repair permissio
What a mess huh. There were 4 Bluetooth plists, duplicates and triples of others. Obviously, this is going to cause preferential conflicts when running an app Since I couldn't determine which should, or could be saved, I dumped them all. That means I had to go and reset my important prefs, but it could take APPLE
weeks to resolve this, so I guess it's worth the hassle. THANKS APPLE!!!!!
P.S. While I'm at it, I want my Safari Reset Button back, and put the Clear Cache in there while you're at it. GRRRRRRR!!
