Oct 21, 2014 6:40 AM in response to tomstephens89by Xanadeath,I turned off handoff when a page was hanging and it immediately loaded. Too early to tell whether that's what's causing it or not... I'll have to play around with it a bit more later.

Oct 21, 2014 7:41 AM in response to tomstephens89by Convurgency,- I had this problem for 5 days. I normally log into a normal user account.
- I tried every single tweak and change etc on this thread and others. Nothing worked.
- I logged into an Administrator account, and it works, no changes needed!
So, bottom line: this seems to only be an issue with Wi-Fi not working for non-administrator users. At least in my case.
It works consistently for the Admin account, but I can't figure out any difference in the Network/Wi-Fi settings for users. Perhaps insufficient permissions to access the Wi-Fi interface?

Oct 21, 2014 7:53 AM in response to tomstephens89by EricIRRI,Hey there!
I had the same problem after upgrading my MacAir to Yosemite the other day.
Deleting the content of SystemConfiguration and rebooting the system seemed to have worked for me.
go to Finder>Go
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/
Hope it will work for you.

Oct 21, 2014 8:03 AM in response to tomstephens89by ladyspudz,Same Wifi woes here.
My other half and I both downloaded and installed at the same time, his is working perfectly. When using Safari I get about 10-15 minutes in and the connection goes, the only way so far to get it back was restarting which is a total pain! Have tried some of the solutions here and none have worked thus far, a few feel beyond the scope of what I'm comfortable doing and now will untick handoff to see if that does anything.
Btw- I am an administrator on this machine (MBP 13" mid 2012)

Oct 21, 2014 8:30 AM in response to tomstephens89by jrn6264,Same wifi issue on 15" rMBP late 2014. I've tried it all and nothing seems to work for more than a minute. 5 days of a useless laptop and Apple hasn't even chimed in on the thread to acknowledge the problem. This is the 3rd botched update to an Apple product as of late and it needs to stop.

Oct 21, 2014 8:55 AM in response to tomstephens89by Longhorn_83,I have a Linksys router for my home internet and an Apple router for my music network (it's not connected to the internet). I'm having issues with my Mac not automatically recognizing the Linksys signal (I have to manually connect it since the upgrade). However, the signal from the Apple router is recognized by my Mac and stays connected even when I reboot.
I also have an Apple TV that no longer will connect to my Mac. But it connects to my Apple router when the router is signaling from my Mac.
Whatever the issue with Yosemite, it doesn't seem to have an issue with Apple routers, only with non-Apple routers.

Oct 21, 2014 9:04 AM in response to Longhorn_83by ecotecit,As far as I see it, we should not be trying to find a work around, or hacks to the system. This should be resolved ay Apple ASAP.
How can an operating system be released when the fundamental use of most machines require network access.
There are two options...
1...Revert to a previous operating system that functions correctly.
2...Wait patiently for Apple to resolve the problem.
It just depends on how critical it is for you to have a working machine.

Oct 21, 2014 9:21 AM in response to ecotecitby ruediger.earthman,I agree absolutely with ecotecit, those problems should be resolved by Apple as soon as possible... All work-arounds or tweaks may work for one but not for all others.
One more, third option:
3.. Connect iMac via 10ft ethernet-cable with TimeCapsule/Router/Modem

Oct 21, 2014 9:34 AM in response to tomstephens89by ondrafromczech,It is really really weird..
I use my mac at 4 buildings. Two company buildings, house of parents, my apartment. In all building except my apartment I use all the Access Points from Mikrotik - same model. Just in my apartment I use I think cisco from UPC. Anyway, this problem occurs just in one company building. In another company building I had a problem before Yosemite with Mavericks - it was loading pages very slowly and sometimes when I hit reload it was done immediately.
It does no sense to me!

Oct 21, 2014 9:34 AM in response to ruediger.earthmanby ecotecit,Yes, that is the third option, and the road that I ended up going down.
But it's not always a possibility for most, as quite a few laptops haven't got an ethernet port, I ended up having to rush out to my local store and buy one.
It was quicker to drive and buy than reinstall again, keep in mind I had already performed a fresh install of Yosemite, didn't really want to have to do this again with Mavericks.

Oct 21, 2014 9:40 AM in response to tomstephens89by ladyspudz,Can I just ask..... there are freephone numbers (per country) listed in the contact section, has anyone called? Was just wondering if people were getting fobbed off or not calling.
The unticking of handoff didn't work here either and I've had to turn Wifi off and then back on twice while trying to get this posted.

Oct 21, 2014 9:40 AM in response to ruediger.earthmanby InsufficientEvidence,I opted for your third option:
"3. Connect iMac via 10ft ethernet-cable with TimeCapsule/Router/Modem"
Works great, but my ethernet cable is so short that I have to string it directly across the center of my bathroom door (which opens out).
I'm peeing in bottles, but at least I have an Internet connection.
