Beta OSX versions do not get security updates. The security update you mention (Security Update 2015-002) will mainly have been against the FREAK vulnerability ' "FREAK" SSL/TLS exploit (CVE-2015-0204)', which is totally offtopic here.
Sorry for the offtopic.

Beta OSX versions do not get security updates.
The 10.10.2 one you got mainly deals with the FREAK vulnerability: http://arstechnica.com/apple/2015/03/apple-patches-freak-vulnerability-on-mounta in-lion-mavericks-yosemite/
Notably:
the most notable is a fix that will inoculate Safari users against the so-called "FREAK" SSL/TLS exploit (CVE-2015-0204, although at publication time the Apple page shows CVE-2015-0167 as the CVE ID for FREAK).
Sorry for the offtopic.

Mar 13, 2015 7:00 AM in response to PFJ30by optimusben,I received the security update as well and it appears it may have fixed my wifi problem, so far. I've been on a meeting for 1hr+ connected to my usual problematic access point and its been solid whereas before I had to reconnect every 2-5minutes. For me the security update was "2015-002". Hope this information helps others. The only other OSX update I received lately as well was the Command Line Developer tools for OSX 10.10 but I'm not sure that had anything to do with the fix.

Mar 13, 2015 3:44 PM in response to tomstephens89by cathalwoods,I have given up and gone back to Mavericks, despite the hassles that entails.
I have been using Macs since 1989 (starting with an SE/30) but after this disaster, my next machine will not be a Macintosh.

Mar 14, 2015 1:54 AM in response to tomstephens89by shafez,Finally I was able to fix Wifi problems on my Retina MBP 13" late 2013 notebook by replacing /System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext with the one from Yosemite 10.10 using Kext Utility and everything is working fine for a week now.

Mar 14, 2015 2:37 AM in response to Huss417by PFJ30,I Did reply - honest - but on explaining the type of update I broke the Non-disclosure/Confidentiality agreements which apply to users of non-public versions of Apple's software and my post was deleted by Admin. All I can say is that the next public version of OSX Yos will help some people as it has helped my wi-FI considerably

Mar 14, 2015 3:32 AM in response to cathalwoodsby PFJ30,It's such a hard thing to take isn't it after "defending" Apple against the tide of Windows for decades. Hopefully you'll drop your guard and return.

Mar 14, 2015 4:51 AM in response to cathalwoodsby PFJ30,Of interest from the smaller parallel thread?
I actually called Apple the other day and I ended up having to totally delete everything off of my computer after trying to reinstall OS X without deleting anything. I was not able to migrate my backups back over automatically, but rather manually because something in my backups is apparently corrupted we found. I also made a 5GHz network too, and while things still aren't 100% better, they are a lot closer to it, like maybe 95 to 98% better since doing this, than before when things were really bad. I had all kinds of issues....

Mar 14, 2015 11:45 PM in response to DavidDundonaldby Tony1634,Hi
I had no problem until the 10.10.2 upgrade after which my WiFi became very unstable and always dropping out. I found a solution that works is to buy a router that supports the 5GHz band. since that change I have had no more problem. Will not work on my older Mac though since that does not support 5GHz lucky I am still only using 10.10.1 on that and am afraid of upgrading it.

Mar 15, 2015 5:21 AM in response to Tony1634by Sponge_Frank,According to tony, since i have tuned off my bluetooth, all is working fine ...
Let me say, i have a mbp 2012, 2 iphone 6, an ipad 2, an ipad 2 air, wii U, PS4, PS3, new3DS ... and a cursed mid 2014 mbp retina, wifi issue is only on my bmp retina when bluetooth on . my wifi is type n, frequency 2,4ghz, no possibility to change for 5ghz with my actual router.
Bluetooth and wifi are on the same frequency 2,4ghz, and seems to be managed by the same hardware according to genius... ( on mbp )
Changing order of service ( bluetooth at last ) was a temporary fix for me.
I let you make conclusion by yourself, i also found that replacing wifi driver solve solution for a lot of people ...
I don't really understand apple communication about this issue, i got a joint venture access, they made me back several on apple store for testing hardware, changing my computer ... for the same result, the last reply i got : " it could be a magic mouse issue " ... ok i will test in next day, cause i have several magic mouse ... but let me doubt
Communication about this issue was bad, really bad for apple, just my opinion. i hope it will be fixe in 10.10.3 like said in previous post.

Mar 15, 2015 5:45 AM in response to Tony1634by jndupuis1,Thank you for your post. You are one who has confirmed my previous post early on in this thread. In order for me to take full advantage of Gigabyte Ethernet and the full speed of 5 GHz wireless, I had to not only upgrade my router from a Linksys EA2700 to a EA3500, I also had to upgrade my ISP's outdated Motorola Cable Modem to a New Motorola Arris Surfboard capable of Gigabyte Ethernet as well. Gigabyte equipment should provide the user with full 10/100/1000 Ethernet and 5 GHz Wi-Fi should then be 300 plus Mbps as well. After upgrading outdated internet epuipment, my Mavericks on 5 GHz Wi-Fi was very snappy. Yosemite 10.10.1 and 10.10.2 was snappy and stable as well. Thank you, again.
