Oct 24, 2014 1:19 PM in response to concentricalby GregFaubert,I upgraded to Yosemite yesterday. My Wifi network includes a Time Capsule base and 3 Airports that I use to extend the network (1 of them connects to my amp for playing music throughout the house). With Yosemite, my iMac can't see ANY of them now; they aren't visible on the Airport Utility and iTunes doesn't see the Airport Express that plugs into the amp. (Airport Utility on the iPhone sees all of them just fine).
I'm surprised Apple let this thing escape the lab...

Oct 24, 2014 1:27 PM in response to GregFaubertby GregFaubert,Looks like operator error. I was connected to the Guest Network on the Time Capsule. Flipped it over the primary and solved the problem.
Embarrassing...

Oct 24, 2014 1:36 PM in response to tomstephens89by Roger Barre,Nothing worked for me until I re-booted my WiFi base station (in this case, a Time Capsule). Then WiFi worked fine and has not given me any problems since.
Hope this works for you.
YMMV.

Oct 24, 2014 2:08 PM in response to tomstephens89by JenniferEmilia,You can add me to the list as well. Im very disappointed in Apple. Not so much due to the wifi issue as everyone makes mistakes, but their silence is awful! They could at least make a statement that they are aware of the problem!
I've tried every solution I've found and nothing has worked. For the first time in a long time I'm thinking of switching back to windows, at least windows just works.....

Oct 24, 2014 2:18 PM in response to cagperezby techproak,I had the same issue. But it did not occur until 4 days after upgrading. I resolved the issue by zapping the PRAM (CMD+OPT+P+R) keep holding the keys down until you have heard for Startup Chimes. It takes about 2 to 5 minutes depending on your mac. Reference this article from Apple:

Oct 24, 2014 2:20 PM in response to JenniferEmiliaby NicolaP,I sadly have to agree... Maybe only 30000 readers and 410 answer to this post are nothing for Apple, as they have to think to the millions buyers of iPhone 6...
I Tried everything and still my wifi lags ...Internet is not usable.

Oct 24, 2014 2:32 PM in response to Monark27by Blue Tan,I am looking here as i have a simular issue though mine is only triggered so far in Adobe Lightroom
If i am using Ethernet on an iMac when i switch into maps module i can not connect with the net if i switch wifi on and off and close Lightroom i can get back on line. Wifi is intermittent and for all the world you would think either the internet had slowed to a crawl or a firewall was kicking in
All worked fine on Mavericks in my case after finding the issue i did a clean install of Yosemite then downloaded clean of Adobe exact same issue come on Apple please get an update out apart from any other reason if the speed is so slow what is the mac doing with all my bandwidth its concerning with what is downloading perhaps

Oct 24, 2014 2:59 PM in response to tomstephens89by poppy forbes,This may help. Or not!
I was unable to print out the iPad Air 2 user manual - the wifi went berserk and I spent most of the afternoon sweating blood and cursing furiously.
I had just bought a new Canon printer which was working ok until I tried to download the manual for the iPad Air 2 and then not only did the printer go AWOL but so did my husband's printer in another room ( a slightly older printer). I had managed to print out about 20 sheets then it stuck - and stuck again - and again and again until I was ready to return the printer to Amazon. But I was printing other things alright so in a lightbulb moment I went through to my husband's printer connected to his iMac which has remained at Mavericks and guess what! Yep, it printed out the entire Apple users manual with no problems whatsoever. Definite proof if any was needed that something is amiss at Yosemite. If only I had come on here earlier I would have learnt that others are having their problems too and would not have wasted so much time trying to get my bloody printer to work.
For the record I have OS X Yosemite version 10.10 on a macbook pro.

Oct 24, 2014 4:21 PM in response to tomstephens89by OSXNotGeek,I'm having the same issue after updating to Yosemite from Mavericks, i have a Macbook Pro Retina 15 Mid 2012 and an Airport Extreme Router. But not only my mac wi-fi connection dropped, but the whole wi-fi connection in the house dropped making my other devices to have very very slow internet connection. I have to turn off my mac in order to be able to use my home wi-fi.
Apple you need to fix this NOW!

Oct 24, 2014 5:09 PM in response to chotty1by marcelokalib,Yeah, already saw this new in many different sites, in a few different languages, including portuguese (I´m from Brazil and, yeah, our sites are also talking about this issue and about how Apple is dealing with it (or not dealing, as they don´t say anything)).
Anyway, I can only make it work with cable ethernet, what is terrible as my mac mini is too far from my router. :/
Great move Apple... or should I say... silence?

Oct 24, 2014 5:23 PM in response to tomstephens89by iJaps,Thanks to Yosemite, my new Asus router is now totalled. I reverted back to my BT homeHub 5 that I replaced only a week ago (which, incidentally does not work properly with AirPlay - hence the purchase of the Asus), and the WiFi now works perfectly once again, but AirPlay does not. Therefore, my conclusion is that the issue lies with each individual router and/or its firmware, and not Yosemite as such. Funnily enough, when I tried to call Asus I could not get through and kept getting cut off. I gave up after several attempts.
Perhaps they should change their name from Asus to Anus.
Regardless, well done Apple. Yet another pigs ear of bech testing on the consumer.
