Q: OSX Yosemite Wifi issues

I def experience wifi slowness but I thought it was just my connection.  I completely lost my bluetooth last week.  Nobody can help me, even Apple experts. So maybe my bluetooth corruption is due to wonderful Yosemite.  I used to brag about how good OS X was compared to the Microsoft problems I had at work with my Dell but now I can't say that OS X is more stable.

I had the same issue with WiFi drops since upgrading to Yosemite.  Had to turn off wifi then turn it back on again to get a connection.  Saw this a few days ago. Not sure if anyone already posted it.  http://osxdaily.com/2014/10/25/fix-wi-fi-problems-os-x-yosemite/

Macbook Pro early 2011 wifi working normally again after performing the 1st step. no more dropouts for the past 2 days.

When i take all of my apps out of the box in launchpad(Yosemite) then the box was still there anyone know how to fix this??

This is what my internet connection looks like within 5mn of turning my 2012 MBPr

0mn (Ethernet) : Ping 30ms / Download 16.62Mbps / Upload 1.02Mbps

2mn (Wifi) : Ping 32ms / Download 9.61Mbps / Upload 0.37Mbps

3mn (Wifi) : Ping 24ms / Download 6.00 Mbps / Upload 0.85Mbps

5mn (Wifi) : Ping 25ms / Download 3.71 Mbps / Upload 0.71Mbps

7mn (Wifi) : internet down...

At that point all other non-Yosemite macs & devices are still connecting fine.

Yeah, just the same for me. Anyway, we´ll have to wait until Apple release a fix for it.

Time for Tim Cook to STEP DOWN from Apple........  or perhaps give him a job in the mail room or reading these posts every day......  he never was nor ever will be a good leader for Apple......  seen this coming for a while now........

No need to replace Tim Cook.  He's doing a good job.  I had problems with my mac even when Steve was here though it does seem like the last updates to X have been more problematic. But I don't want to go back to Windows. Still, we do want solid products.

Not going to Windows.... LOL (ever) - Apple has taken a turn since Cook and they ran out of directives left behind by Jobs..... (so it seems) .....  he may be good at his job but not as leader.  Cook is not a leader by any means.  very wishy-washy

I recently installed yosemite and i'm having trouble loading and videos freezing, maverick worked more efficient, I don't know if my internet or yosemite.

Mine, strangely, appears to be working fairly reliably now, provided that Airdrop is open.

Logging out as a user & logging back in may have helped as that was the last action taken before deciding to give up, although a number of reports were sent that day as iCloud Mail was refusing to load around that time.

Has anyone else seen any improvement?

No improvement at all. Wifi nearly unusable.

MacBook Pro late 2013 here.  My whole network slows down when I turn on the wifi on my MacBook.  When doing a speedtest with the wifi turned on everything bogs (latency, download speed and upload speed ). Even my wifes Windows computer will slow down.  Turn it off everything is back to normal.  I shut down iCloud on my Mac and now things are running normal again.  I hope this fix lasts for a while. 

i'm not getting any video or audio just ffreeze ups in and out.
