Apr 11, 2015 4:52 AM in response to pogsterby Nicole Tailormaster,Yes , but unfortunately, this site is not very helpful, because there is still nothing on the nickel content in the Apple Watch with Date Today (04/11/2015).

iPhoneCall Apple directly and ask. Or, make an appointment to check out the watch at an Apple Store.

Mac OS XThe site tells you what each watch is made from. And this link discusses your question: Wearing Apple Watch - Apple Support
The stainless steel watch contains up to 10% Nickel, however, it is the same steel used for surgical instruments and for body implants, so I would be very surprised it it sufficient nickel to trigger a reaction.

Jun 22, 2015 3:49 PM in response to hkeelsby fastasleep,I'm allergic to nickel and am having a bit of a reaction to the strap's pin backing where it touches the underside of my wrist on my new Space Gray Sport. :/ Trying to see if a different fit (slightly looser) and keeping it drier might help. I hadn't see the above page with regard to nickel content, otherwise I would've expected this unfortunately. I might consider trying a bit of clear nail polish on that part to isolate it from the skin, though I want to be sure I'm keeping it first as I doubt Apple will take it back in that condition if I decide to return it instead. So far the top side hasn't caused a reaction — the metal doesn't come into direct contact so much as the sensor section raises those parts away from the skin.
