You too, what? You cannot update a 4S to iOS 8. But you CAN update it to 9.3.2. However, if it is an iPhone 4 and not an iPhone 4S you are stuck on 7.1.2 forever.

What is it that you want to do? Does it have anything to do with an iPhone 4 or 4s? Updating with iTunes simply requires that you connect your device to your computer running iTunes. If you have another question, please state it.

I'm sorry... why are you telling us this? The iPhone 4 is OBSOLETE. It is PHYSICALLY INCAPABLE OF RUNNING ANYTHING HIGHER THAN IOS 7.1.2.
This has been stated here repeatedly. No amount of whining, or complaining, or 'me too' posting is going to change that.

The statement about Siri is correct, however, the only iPhone 4 that did not have a SIM card slot was the CDMA version. The GSM version had a SIM slot, since it was necessary to insert and remove the SIM.
