I cant update my iphone 4s to ios 8 pls help me

Which of the several issues do you have, exactly? Do you not have enough memory? Do you actually have an iPhone 4? Do you have an issue with Wifi and should be connecting to iTunes to update? Your issue needs to be spelled out clearly and concisely if you want help.

just one and that is i can't update my IOS its stuck on 7.1.2 , whenever i try to update it the message appeared you have already up to date IOS 7.1.2 😟

Then you have an iPhone 4 and you are at the highest iOS you can run.

The problem that most of the people in this thread have is that they don't realize they have an iPhone 4, which is not upgradeable to iOS 8. Go to Settings>General>About and see what model number phone you have. Are you sure it's an iPhone 4S?

I have a 4S for sure (well the end of my serial number ends in 4S so I'm assuming I'm correct).

I have logged into Itunes on my computer & tried to update but it is still saying "IOS 7.1.2 Your software is update to date". So I've restored my software via Itunes & tried to update my software again but the same error is coming up. My available space is 7.36GB so I don't think that is an issue.

I have no idea what to do now. Am I missing something? Any suggestions?

If you are getting the message that your software is up to date when it is at 7.1.2, you have an iPhone 4. My iPhone 4 Serial Number ends in an "s" also. It is not related to the model....

Thanks for the link. I certainly have an 4s by looking at the photos the side buttons have changed between the 4 & the 4s.

What model number is printed on the back?

I'm sorry, but the side buttons haven't changed between the two. It is very difficult to observe the difference between the two devices except for numbers. Man I feel like an idiot it is a 4! My sister gave me the phone & told me it was a 4s & I didn't check.

The issue I'm having is that I can't download some apps since my ios isn't past 7.1.2. Is there any way around that?
