I cant update my iphone 4s to ios 8 pls help me

So basically cos I don't have a new I phone can't upload u tube or other aps wow can't even get iOS 8

Guess I'm stuck I'm surprised I can still upload to Facebook so all I can do now is just update ios7 till phone blows up that's crap agh well

The decision on what version of iOS that developers wish their apps to support is up to the developer. The iPhone 4 was released 6 years ago. The hardware will not support iOS higher than the 7.1.2 that it is on. In technology years, that is a lifetime plus. You can check this to see if there is a compatible version of an app, but that is not a guarantee. Install an app on an earlier version of iOS or OS X - Apple Support and it appears this will not be supported much longer either.

What do you mean? I have an iPhone 4 running 7.1.2, and You Tube works fine. I have an iPad 1 that is running iOS 5.1 and all of my apps are working fine. So, there is no reason why the apps you currently have shouldn't work.

If you want the latest and the greatest, then you have to get a new device, since those are the devices that the developers develop the latest and greatest for. If you have an issue with that, take it up with the developers.

How to update My iPhone 4s to 8.0

If your phone is a 4S it can be updated to iOS9. If it is actually a 4 it cannot be updated beyond 7.1.2.

There is no alternative answer.

I'm haveing the same problem can't download Facebook snapchat it saying I need to update my iPhone to iOS 8.1 but my iPhone 4 is at its highest update witch is 7.2.1 so I don't understand why I can't download them please help thanks
