Jan 3, 2015 8:27 PM in response to MacsSince1984by kahjot,I hear ya. I shudder to think what my employers spent on our first DTP system (before which we were using various instruments of torture to produce page layouts). We started with what I think was a Mac Plus, running Pagemaker 1.5, and a finicky Linotype system. I'm sure the fumes from the processor that developed the output from the Linotronic 100 killed a fair number of brain cells, mine and those of anyone else in the vicinity. Everything was crazy expensive.

Jan 4, 2015 5:37 PM in response to crystalshipby JWDemon,I have to thank crystalship for the reference to Mr. Schreiberstein's Lucida Grande fix. It wasn't so much the blurriness that bothered me but the finer, smaller size, I'm old and it was just getting harder and harder to read. Fixing the font was the last thing I needed for my system modifications.
I'm almost done, I used LiteIcon to install my custom folders and icons, cDock for my custom dock and this font fix completes the package.
Thanks!

Jan 4, 2015 9:27 PM in response to JWDemonby MacsSince1984,Is LiteIcon a one-click process like YosemiteRevert, or do you have to change each folder and each application separately, one at a time?

...and from many other tech websites trying to find a font fix is rampant on the internet. I do hope Apple is aware and does something to fix it soon. I have sent numerous Feedback reports to Apple, but I haven't seen any indication that this will get fixed with the next release. My eyes are really getting a beating.

Jan 13, 2015 4:31 AM in response to crystalshipby crystalship,This is my Safari drop down menu. The font is so dim. Sometimes the font is darker and other times it's barely legible. I don't get it. Yosemite is such a mind game. You should see what the App Store looks like with its dim tiny font. I can't even read it. I hope the next update offers darker font settings in Preferences because this is getting ridiculous. I'm glad I saved screenshots of Mavericks to remind me that my MBP font was perfect before the upgrade.

Jan 15, 2015 3:02 PM in response to Philippe Mionby rgosens2,Helvetica as a system font, really? OS X looks like a cheap Linux distribution now. They also never managed to get fonts right. Back to Mavericks.
