Q: just installed Yosemite (MacPro15 End 2011), the fan is working on high speed since! any solutions?

I just installed Yosemite (MacPro15 End 2011), the fan is working on high speed since!

Is there anything I can do? On Maverick the mac worked just fine and very silently, so I assume that the new system does something wrong?

Can anybody offer some help?

And why on earth would you have 3 NTFS file system utilities? 1 would be bad enough.

Your Mac is a mess, it took you a long time to get all that junk installed, it will take a while to get rid of.

Another Etrecheck report please, lets see what is left (and if avast etc is really gone)

Actually i don't think that my Mac is a mess, but that it's a mess to have to adjust a formerly working Mac to an update of a formerly working OS X.

    Thanks anyway

You didn't remove the items I suggested, it was a mess and it still is.

But as you are choosing to ignore my suggestions I will step out.

    Good luck.

It's likely not to be a Yosemite problem- I had a similar issue that I thought was caused by installing Mavericks. It turned out to be dust blocking airflow so the fans were sipping constantly to compensate. Turn the MBP upside down, unscrew the bottom panel. Get a vacuum cleaner and carefully remove all the dust gathered around the air vent at the back and at the two fans.

Good. In that case determine which of the system modifications or programs are causing degraded system performance.

Begin with temporarily bypassing your user Login Items (Anmeldeobjekte) by holding a shift key as you are logging in (not during boot). If the system runs normally, one or more of them is responsible.

If bypassing your Login Items does not result in success, restart your Mac with all unnecessary USB devices disconnected. In your case try the device named "REINER SCT cyberJack Secoder" – I do not know what that is.

If that does not help, remove each of the kernel extensions by carefully following their respective developer's removal instructions – not by removing them by other means, which could result in instability. An unknown product from "delantis" is one suggestion. Others are Soundflower, Oracle's Java, Adobe Flash Player, and the Elgato and Samsung drivers. Research their respective developer's support resources for potential upgrades known to be compatible with Yosemite.

Remove all Safari Extensions that you are not absolutely certain you need them. They are not likely to be responsible for the problem you describe but no Extensions are required for normal operation. Uninstalling Safari Extensions is easily accomplished by clicking the Uninstall button in the Safari menu > Preferences > Extensions.

I don`t think that reducing the speed manually is a good solution since the fan reduces the temperature of the cpu.

Good. To remove Login Items (Anmeldeobjekte) go to System Preferences > Users & Groups > select your User account > Login Items.

Select each one of them individually, then remove them from Login Items by pressing the "–" (minus) button. They will no longer be loaded when you log in.
