I just installed Yosemite (MacPro15 End 2011), the fan is working on high speed since!

Is there anything I can do? On Maverick the mac worked just fine and very silently, so I assume that the new system does something wrong?

Can anybody offer some help?

sbo2014, I had the same issue and resolved by downloading this app: http://www.soma-zone.com/LaunchControl/

It allows you to download and run, and an option to purchase for $10.

Turns out I had an app called tcpblock which was causing issues with Yosemite, which was identified by the app.

As soon as I disabled the tcpblock service and rebooted everything returned to normal re: CPU usage.

So my guess is you probably have some application/process which does not like, besides the ones you have already removed.

Classic6413, the probability that tcpblock was the reason for my problem is quite high, since it was one of the programs I removed and now the MBC returned to "normal". Thanks
