Oct 17, 2014 10:19 AM in response to Jaydudeby seeren,The famous 8Khz is a holdover from the days when accordion music was the vogue. Nowadays, people tend to blindly set their EQ's for either 7.9Khz or 8.1Khz. However, if you are going for that 'retro sound' and do wish to hit 8Khz straight on try the AUParametricEQ in the Apple section of the Audio Units menu at the bottom of the plugin list.

Oct 18, 2014 2:35 AM in response to seerenby Jaydude,Thanks for the background information and the AUParametricEQ tip!
I used to work on a machine that had the Abbey Road plugs. Some of these were dedicated to 8kHz only! Worked well for my vocals, even though I'm not an accordeon-fan ;-)
Still strange that the Parametric Singleband EQ skips 8kHz. I already thought that it was patented by some multinational ;-)

You are absolutely correct
Weird... I could have sworn you could type in 8K in the past but it may have been way back with LP9, that was the last time I tried...
Or...
it never worked.. That is a possibility too..... and Im thinking about use with a different EQ...
Apologies for my error...

Sep 25, 2016 6:38 AM in response to Jaydudeby Jaydude,Found that even the Channel EQ cannot make use of the 8000 kHz. 7900 and 8100 will do, but 8000 kHz is skipped.
Maybe it has something to do with Softlubes Abbey Road Brilliance pack, which includes a dedicated 8kHz booster...
