Q: Internet connection down after upgrade

I lighthearted upgraded my 2008 iMac (2.8 Ghz, 4GB)  to Yosemite and after it booted into the new desktop I am stuck without internet connection. The Wifi works fine on my other devices and my Maverick MBP.

Both Wifi and connection to my iPhone are displayed as connected but it doesn't connect to the internet. I tried trashing my SysPrefs with restart but that didn't help.

Anybody have a clue how to fix this?
