dymo labelwriter 450 filter failed error
I just upgraded to Yosemite and am getting a "Stopped, 'filter' failed" error when trying to print to my Dymo Labelwriter 450. Does anyone know a workaround? Thanks, David

If you are seeing the /Library/Printers/DYMO/Filters/raster2dymolw process failing or crashing, this is something that Dymo will have to fix. You can check in /Utilities/Console…
Dymo posted a new driver. Maybe you'll have better luck with this:

Cheers fella @John Blanchard1
I had the same problem. First thing I did was "Check for Updates" in the app... it says there are none. Yet clearly, 8.5.2 is an update to 8.5.1. Figures.
Works!!!! Thank you!!!!🙂
Thank you John! Perfect fix!!
I've upgraded to 8.5.2 and it looks to have solved the filter failure issue, but I just started getting this message with the new version.
"CCupsPrintEnvironmentForDriver::WriteData() write() failed, errno=32"
Seems like my 4XL doesn't want to work with my new MBA. Anybody else having this issue?
Yes! The 8.5.2 version of Dymo works on my Labelwriter 400 Turbo. I had not been able to use it on the last two versions of Apple's OS (current;y on Yosemite). At least two years since I had it working. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread.
this worked for me - thank you
