backlight bleed iphone 6 plus and boot loop?

just got the phone on Saturday, and last night decided to fire up netflix 😟

Spoke to online support, they asked me to reset the settings, which ended up never finishing.

It would go from the apple logo, to a red screen, back to the apple logo.

Waited for about an hour, and went to sleep.

Tried to power on the phone this morning, and it did the same boot loop?. Got it into recovery mode, and managed to restore it via itunes. The line is still present on the screen and only noticeable on black backgrounds.

Has anyone else had this happen? or seen something like this on the iphone 6+?

I Am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your phone. The best thing to do is to take it to the Apple Store and exchange it for another one. (They should give you a completely new one without any hassle.

Went in for my genius bar appointment today, and within a few seconds of showing the screen booting and the white smudge, the paperwork was being filled out to swap the handset.

Few other white smudges are actually on the screen, depending on the angle it is viewed.

The description they stated on the genius bar work authorization was

issue:dead pixels, although when we were talking, he called it a pixel anomaly.
