Bluetooth audio lag

Same problem with me too, using 2009 White Macbook and sony bluetooth headset. Delay gets progressing over time. Initially I thought it was a problem with browser, but same issue with local video file or audio file. Irrespective of application used, delay is due to bluetooth connection. Looking for fix soon in OS X Yosemite

Haveing the Problem also. Bluetooth speaker are tdk a33 and i am using a macbookpro 13" from 2009.never had the Problem! Watched netflix oder chrome. Noticed a audio delay witch increased druing playtime.

Same problem here. Using macbook late 2009 with onkyo BT set. Also the sound stutters when using chrome or safari when playing music. When i change volume it takes few seconds to come into effect. Wouldnt have upgraded knowing this problem would occur.

did I miss it, have the Apple gurus chimed in on any of the several threads that are complaining about BT issues ??? This seems to be effect many people, and some wisdom would be welcomed ........ or an acknowledgment of the problem

I'm at least happy to see that this isn't an isolated problem that I'm having. I tried both my Kinivo BTH240 and older Motorola 305 headphones. Both started delaying within a few minutes. Hopefully Apple addresses this soon.

this is absolutely ridiculous. i cannot even watch a 3 gb movie in vlc without the entire system slowing down if simply i open a safari blank web page in addition to vlc.. it is deeper than bluetooth i think cause i disconnected my headphones to test the multiple problems i have since upgrading to Yosemite.

I also have system problems with my icons and when i close out of vlc after a audio/video delay it leaves a shadow window of the program for about 2 seconds after I've closed it. the audio remains playing as well for the same amount of time the delay was. i am constantly emptying my trash of system cache so i can never get a plain set of circumstances that dont interfere with the problem. my icons look like this

i paid money for this computer and i have work to do. this is completely unacceptable. even now I'm waiting about a second for the key i press to appear on screen.

Same BT problem on any video (that continues when i disconnect my Logitech BoomBox and use internal speakers), plus a lot of hiccups in iTunes music.

Using OsX Yosemite (10.10) on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013).

Same problem here! Macbook unibody 2008 paired with Harman Kardon Squire through bluetooh.

Sound lag and glichtes from time to time when I make the computer to think a little bit. Opening windows, apps, surfing internet, etc.

It's really annoying this issue. Not solved with a clean installation of Mavericks. I believe Apple has created a new api for audio...

On the other hand. the system looks not so bad and is faster. But if this continue like this I will go back to Mavericks within one week and lets see.

some problems also here with Logitech bluetooth audio adapter, the sound come out but if i start safari or mail or others applications the sounds stop for thousandth of second. With Maverick and Mountain Lion this was never happen.

I was wondering as well - should my e-mail notifications be appearing even if I dont have [apple's] Mail application open all the time? I seem to remember getting notifications I had gotten email before Yosemite. now I need to open my mail program to see if I email. This is related because if I need to keep an application open this will only add to the video problem and audio delay. I need to know when I get my emails.

I been in other forums trying to figure out my problem and was told by someone, after posting my comptuters data report using Etrecheck, I had malware inside my computer. I have no idea if this could relate to anyone else problem - or mine - but I thought I'd share the page he sent me to.

In my case Spotify starts to lag after a few minutes even when no other application is running.

I noticed that a very reliable way to create some stuttering is: start Mail.app and quickly browse through your archived mails using the arrow keys.

Problem solved. Back in Mavericks. That silly new appearance doesn't worth it. I don't see any improvement on Yosemite for my macbook unibody 2008.

I will stop updating my iphone 5s as well, maybe with iOS 9 headphones will stop working. 😁

Guys i fount a solution for this issue. A part of coming back to Mavericks, we can also buy a dark blue paint, paint all the surfaces of our Macs, and throw them to the sea. Also lakes and rivers are pretty efficient, but i do suggest the sea for the vastness of its waters.

Sorry for the disappointment, but i find this problem totally unacceptable. We are talking about a stupid bluetooth connection with (usually) expensive devices.
And Apple could at least tell us that they are working on it.
