Nov 17, 2014 1:43 PM in response to mommuby apaunchev,Updating to 10.10.1 seems to have fixed the issue for me. Just watched a 40-minute video, and am now listening to music – no lag or stuttering so far.

Nov 17, 2014 1:59 PM in response to apaunchevby johnniecache,ha ha, not sure if i should laugh or cry. 10.10.1 has brought the lag BACK on my MacBook.
It was completely fixed when i disabled the dashboard in 10.10.0. Now the dahsboard is still disabled, but the lag is back. Fantastic.

Nov 17, 2014 6:00 PM in response to mommuby Jamsiecotterhk,Can anyone tell me how to restore Mavericks? I have completely lost patience with this now. It's just an unbelievable performance by Apple that they should release such software without it being 100% tested and functional, and then ignore the gripes of their loyal customers.

Nov 17, 2014 7:11 PM in response to mommuby MatthewK96,Updating to 10.10.1 didn't fix my bluetooth audio problems on either my mid 2011 iMac or my mid 2011 MacBook Air.

Nov 17, 2014 10:38 PM in response to mommuby johnniecache, another thread here claims that a clean install of Yosemite solves the problem, but i'm sceptical.
Probably better spend the time rolling back to mavericks.

Nov 17, 2014 11:05 PM in response to mommuby readytorun,Bluetooth problems were only the beginning of a labyrinth of issues when I upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite.
It was a month long problem that was a daily obstacle.
This was the worst I've ever seen Apple in terms of Quality Check.
Seriously, I know what bugs are and these issues were not bugs.
Serious problems in every area of my system.
I finally wiped out everything on my local hard drive, didn't use time machine and just replaced the late 2012 iMac with a clean copy of Yosemite.
Since then, about 2 days ago, only positive experiences, in that the computer is running Normal.
Its smooth, no memory leakage, CPU boosts or bad graphics.
No breadcrumb trail of fixes like turning off dash, turning off iCloud drive, etc..
if you're at your wits end, and have your stuff backed up in some fashion
I recommend it - the clean format and install.
I'm using my bluetooth headphones now and doesn't seem to be a problem with safari flash player (youtube), iTunes, and a VLC movie, all of them seem to be in sync.
It took me a month of headaches everyday to come to this point but I'm glad I did, it wiped out all the wild card exceptions in terms of what couldve gone wrong. I want a working computer. Now I have one.

Nov 18, 2014 12:42 AM in response to readytorunby readytorun, everything seemed to be working until i played an online game while listening to iTunes.
the games audio quickly went out of sync. once i quit it and returned to the desktop bluetooth worked in sync again.
when i throw away trash, listen to iTunes and play an online game - it goes out of sync.
its a lot better - this was the only instance of noticeable audio lag - than before but still a bug.
with plugged-in headphones there is no issue.
just the online game and iTunes seems not to bother it.

Nov 18, 2014 12:51 AM in response to mommuby readytorun, everything seemed to be working until i played an online game while listening to iTunes.

this was the only instance of noticeable audio lag so far. you can hear the system hiccup as the sound blanks out for a millisecond but thats the amount of time the delay starts with. when you push the system more than it wants, bluetooth goes out of sync. but then goes back into sync when its at the level of work it likes. strange.
with plugged-in headphones there is no issue.\
oh I'm on 10.10.1

Nov 18, 2014 1:14 AM in response to mommuby readytorun,so I just had a slight problem with a youtube video and you can hear the audio skip for a millisecond and theres when the delay occurs. this is after resetting the PRAM and restarting.
its like when a record skips, its that quick. the solution i found was to just select a different point on the videos timeline and it syncs back up again.
when iTunes audio was delaying slightly it seemed to realign itself as I pressed play/pause.
nothing half as bad as before but still a small bug.
