Mothers iPad unable to access Family Sharing

Hi

I have enabled family sharing from my iTunes account. I have added my mothers iTunes account (invitation accepted) and it shows on both our devices as me being the organizer and her being a family member. Sharing is enabled in both devices.

I use appleTV, iPhone 5, MacBook Pro. She has an iPad 2. She is unable to view the purchased content, such as movies, that I had purchased previously, which is freely available on all of my devices.

Anyone with any suggestions? Bear in mind that we are separated by 4500 km and everything is done over the phone while setting this up, and my mother is not he most tech savvy person

Hello gharakh,

It sounds like your mother has been setup with Family Sharing, but she is not able to access the content. It seems to me that her Apple ID account may be set to a different region, and according to the following article about Family Sharing all members need to share the same region.

Sharing purchased content with Family Sharing

All family members must use the same iTunes Store country or region.

An Apple ID region can be changed with this article:

Change the country of your iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store account
