iTunes says I have 5 devices authorized and shows 4

I'm attempting to authorize a computer.

When I look in my account, I can see that I have four devices authorized but iTunes keeps telling me I have five. Because it says I have five, I cannot authorize another device. How do I fix this?

Select deauthorise all, then authorise your existing computers. It is likely that an old disposed of computer is still counting towards this limit.
