My GoPro .mov files won't import in new version of iMovie.

I have 100GB of amazing video from my new GoPro Hero4. I used the GoPro Studio software to export and convert the footage on to my iMac. I created a movie on iMovie and decided to update to the newest version when I downloaded Yosemite. For some reason all of my clips and edits are there with the sound, but there is no video. Both in the project and the event. I've also tried importing my footage again, and it won't accept it. It worked yesterday on the older version of iMovie. What's going on? Does it not like .mov files? Is GoPro footage no longer acceptable when it has been converted to a .mov?

Valid point. So in my situation what I figuered out:

5 clips every roughly 8-10sec. Okay in reality doesn't make a lot of sense. Once I add 3 clips in total <30sec. It works I can see the export function with 3840x2160 but if I add an other one I can't export anymore in that resolution. Even when I delete the last one and reduce back to <30sec I only get the 1080 Setting as max. Very Very strange. Latest iMovie 10.0.6 and iMac late 2013 with i5 and 16GB ram.

I found out why you can't export 4K resolution in iMovie 10.0.06 ...(from apple's site):

http://help.apple.com/imovie/mac/10.0.6/#/move6e0cb2ad

To set the resolution of the shared movie: Choose an option from the Resolution pop-up menu.Unavailable resolutions appear dimmed.

Tip: You can export a 4K clip in its native resolution by selecting a 4K clip in the browser.

To set the output quality of the shared movie: Choose an option from the Quality pop-up menu.To manually set the output quality of the shared movie, choose Custom from the Quality pop-up menu, and drag the slider to set the target bit rate.As you drag the slider, the estimated file size that appears below the preview thumbnail is updated.

----------------------------------------------------------------

So you can export a single 4K clip from the browser at its native size, but not the project.

This now makes sense to me because I have been trying every way to export a couple of goPro hero4 and gh4 4K clips in a project without any luck. You can export it in proRes but only at 1080p.

Sadly, no 4K exporting in iMovie.
