Do you have any other Bluetooth devices in use with this MacBook Air? If there are more than just a few it may affect device performance. See this article -

You may also want to check to make sure there is not interferance with the Bluetooth in the area. See this article -

Oct 22, 2014 6:25 PM in response to Brett Lby William Hay,I have the same problem. Apple mouse and keyboard are the only Bluetooth devices. The mouse did not lag under Mavericks. I've been using the computer in the same location, so it's not interference in the area.
