Q: How do I change my Apple ID in iCloud on my iPhone 5, IOS 8?

Settings>iCloud. Scroll to the bottom of that page and sign out.

Now, set up the correct ID.

I tried that it won't work because the find my phone app is on and I can't turn off.  It keeps coming up with my old apple id and it wants me to put in my password.  I can't get the old apple id out and I can't put in the old password because that apple id doesn't exist any more. any other suggestions?

What do you mean the Apple ID doesn't exist? Maybe the email address you used to create it doesn't exist, but the Apple ID does.

Was it turned on with YOUR Apple ID? Or someone else's?

I changed my apple id because I am getting rid of the old email account). So that is why I say it doesn't exist. I did read where it said to change it back to the old id so I could turn off find my device then delete icloud then change my back to the new id and down icloud back.  So I guess I will try that.

I am having the same issue.  I changed my Apple ID and do not know how to update my ID on my phone.  Any luck?

I had to change back to my old id until I turned off find my device and then signed out of icloud.  After I deleted/signed out of those two things I went back and changed my id back to my new id then went back to icloud and signed in with the new apple id.  I had forgot to change my ipad while I was doing the iphone so I had to repeat the whole thing again.

The first steps about imessage didn't work for me from the link below had to actually change the id back to the old step.
