I installed Yosemite and iTunes 12.0.1. Since then, it crashes when accessing the store (wolor wheel)
I re-installed iTunes. It works with my Library when my iMac is disconnected from the net, but as soon as iTunes tries to access the store and refresh iTunes Match… Bang. It freezes again and I have to re-install it (it freezes again when I restart, even when disconnected).
Ho can I solve this, please ?

Chiming in, same problem. Seems to be related to iTunes Match. Turning off iTunes Match, no crashes yet...
The problem is : I can't turn iTunes Match off since iTunes crashes before I have the time to disconnect from the store…

Same here. It worked fine for a day or two, then tonight, it repeatedly is crashing partway thru the "Updating iTunes Match" process.
Same problem here. I was able to disable match by turning off wifi, go to Store and turn off Itunes match, you will get an error saying cannot connect to store but then when you turn wifi back on it will be turned off and no more crashes.
Need a fix though.
I Filed bug report 18759127.
I Attached a lot of crash logs. Most of the crash logs indicate something in the iTunes match subroutine.
FIling addintional bug reports is likely to get it fixed faster.
I spent an hour +30 wait time with applecare with no avail. He had me move my library to a a shared folder and reloaded it to a separate user itunes just to test but same error...

Problem fixed with these commands in Terminal (one by one)
AFTER DELETING "SYNC SERVICES" in the library
defaults -currentHost write com.apple.syncservices SyncingDisabled YES
defaults -currentHost delete com.apple.syncservices SyncingDisabled
did you file a bug report or send them crash logs?
Disabling sync services seems like "the nuclear option". What other collateral damage would it cause in terms of other services that will stop working. Allegedly, we're supposed to stay away from sync services as if it is a swarm of bees.
I have the same problem. I have turned off iTunes Match for now but hope that it is only temporary. I hope that the issue is fixed. I have iTunes Match on PC and no problem there it must be the new Yosemite OS.
Im having a similar problem but i don't have iTunes Match on and haven't had it on. It locks up when i try to goto the store. Sometimes it will eventualy load, but most times it lock up and I end up having to force quit iTunes. If it does load i get through 1 or 2 pages then locks up. Very frustrating!!! Get it fixed Apple. I'm running Yosemite.
Alright I fixed it! simple workaround. I deleted my entire library and red-downloaded it from Match

I was having the same issue. iTunes Match had little or none to do with it. Basically anything that required logging into the store (I needed to re auth). Frustrating because iTunes now makes you use your apple id for the tiniest little tasks, and worse yet, it shows logged in, but it really isn't. Anytime I tried to authenticate it would time out and then cause iTunes and a library file to not respond, causing me to force quit. I did notice my wireless connection was suffering. I rebooted my router and tried again, voila! connected and authorized! no time outs! iTunes 12.0.1.26 seems to be a little sensitive to weak connections?
I'm having this problem now as well with version 12.5.1.21. iTunes crashes whenever I open the store. Was there ever a solution presented for this problem?
