Feb 1, 2015 11:43 AM in response to c12345eby capt601,just went through this with hundreds of movies that i have and the artwork would not show up in iTunes 12 even though it was there and previous iTunes versions showed the artwork. i found an applescript that does this without manually having to go though each movie, tv show album, etc...
here it is: http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/ss.php?sp=reembedartwork

Feb 6, 2015 10:19 AM in response to panamakiraby gmbar,Only solution that worked for me - latest files I imported were in .wav format (unintentional). Converted to .mp3 (and moved the .wav files out of iTunes control) and all now works.

Feb 27, 2015 10:56 AM in response to sPiDeRmOnKeY7by racerosx,I'm seeing weirdness when I sync my TV Shows over to my iPad. When I define them as "TV Show", no icon cover art on the iPad. When I define them as "Movie", icon cover art shows up on the iPad no problem.

Apr 21, 2015 10:50 AM in response to sPiDeRmOnKeY7by hanuman68,I have a related issue. I was adding an audiobook I have to iTunes 12 and could not add the artwork. I tried the option-get info method discussed here to pull up the old iTunes 11 version but that wouldn't work for me. For reference, I an on a Macbook Pro running Yosemite 10.10.2. What I discovered was that the file format made all the difference. The audiobook I was loading was a .wav file. I deleted what I had already loaded in. Then I went to iTunes>Preferences>General in the menu and changed the import options to AAC encoder to change the file format and after that I was able to add artwork to the file and change it to audiobook format (all under the get info menu option). Note: if you are concerned about the sound quality of a file or may want to save it to some other high quality format later Apple Lossless may be a better format to import it in. Apple lossless will compress the data like AAC but it does not lose some of the data like AAC does. For my audiobook the sound quality difference doesn't matter.

Apr 27, 2015 3:02 AM in response to sPiDeRmOnKeY7by gborama,I had the same problem trying to add artwork to music I have made. I first put in artist info, album name and such, but when I tried to add artwork it just wouldn't happen. Solved by removing the tracks from iTunes, and adding it again. This time around I started with the artwork, and it worked immediately! Went on to add artist and song info, and it now everything is perfect

Apr 27, 2015 3:09 AM in response to gboramaby gborama,I'm sorry to say, I was wrong. It seems that the problem is related to .wav files. I was able to add artwork to .m4a (AAC) files, but it still seems impossible to do with the .wav files. And I sort of want to keep the .wav files. Unhappy again!

May 31, 2015 11:18 AM in response to gboramaby BozeKB,I have had some similar issues recently. My main issues maybe rather cometic to be honest.
I have been able to save all applicable artwork to my files through iTunes using the "Get Info" tab & selecting any artwork I choose. For songs/albums, I simply go to the wiki page of that album, drag a copy of the album artwork, let's say, to my desktop, & it's there so I can drag it to the "Artwork" tab from the "Get Info" option when I'm ready. I re-open iTunes, look at the "My Music" folder for example, & WHA-LA,..the artwork is there when I'm looking at it from iTunes.
The strange thing I'm experiencing lately is what I see from my source library. I keep all my mp3s in my external HD. I used to be able to see the artwork connected to all mp3s that I updated using iTunes, even WITHOUT having iTunes open….& I can still see the older files that I've updated artwork that way. But any new files that I upload artwork through iTunes recently, the artwork does not appear in my lib ray source HD,..as before.
Anyone have any similiar issues like this?….as I said, I know it sounds rather selfish, but I'd like to see the artwork in my source library as well as in iTunes.
