Aug 23, 2015 4:39 PM in response to sPiDeRmOnKeY7by Baconbitz,My issue is that every time I upload tracks from a CD I have to google search and put them in myself. This just started happening. Songs that are downloaded work.

Aug 25, 2015 7:17 AM in response to sPiDeRmOnKeY7by Russell Laing,I don't know if this has already been suggested or maybe it’s just my system. I transferred all my existing cd; some of them not recognized by iTunes, that I have had for years into iTunes. Often the artwork would not automatically appear. With some albums I could cut and paste the artwork using the get info settings. As I had been importing in mp3 format I noticed that albums I had bought from apple were in the apple lossless format. I set my preferences to always import my home cd in apple lossless. From then on all artwork was either imported automatically or if not recognized I could cut and paste myself. Format of imported files seems to be important . I have not tried wavs or any other format as yet . Hope this helps . Russell

Sep 3, 2015 12:36 PM in response to sPiDeRmOnKeY7by alexgoncharov101,I was able to fix problem with artwork for a movie.
I was not able to add artwork too...
So I play movie, then right clicked on the picture and selected "set as poster frame"
waited for 2 minutes.
picture is set as poster frame.
Then "Add artwork" function is enabled
You can choose whatever picture you want to use as artwork for this movie.
Enjoy this work around.

Nov 11, 2015 9:59 PM in response to john2319by slashusr,Ah! Good point, John2319. My iTunes is on an External HDD. Unfortunately, I can't test your possible solution now that my library size nearly exceeds my "local" storage...

Dec 16, 2015 7:28 PM in response to sPiDeRmOnKeY7by flibbertigibbet6,There IS a way- I just figured it out! It's not very obvious, I had to attempt a lot of different stuff to finally get it.
When you play a song from the new CD you just imported, you know the bar at the top of the screen that shows you the song playing? On the far left there will be a small square where the absent artwork is. Click on it, and it will open a small new window with just the song. This is where you drag your artwork onto the small window.
Unfortunately you have to do this with EVERY song from the imported album, but it works! Hope this helped.
PS. Additional info, I have a macbook pro, and I'm using the newest itunes version so this should work.

Feb 4, 2016 3:28 AM in response to sPiDeRmOnKeY7by justinfromKalgoorlie,Solution.
Find the album you are looking for in the iTunes store. When you find it, for example Alanis Morisette - Jagged Little Pill (2015 Remastered) and you have imported the CD, Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill to you iTunes library.
Right click on the CD that you have imported without the artwork
Select Get Info
change album name to the one you found in the iTunes store eg. Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill (2015 Remastered)
Right click again on the item in your iTunes library again and select Get Album Artworkand Wa La
Hope this helps a few
you can then change the album name back to what ever the original CD was

Mar 27, 2016 5:58 AM in response to sPiDeRmOnKeY7by Pepen81,Hi
First, I encounter the same problem also when I updating album artwork, and I think the problem is because I disable the option "copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to Libary" on advance preferences menu. Try to activate it and then repeat adding the artwork, after it succeed, you can disable it again.
It worked for me.

Jul 8, 2016 10:34 AM in response to sPiDeRmOnKeY7by Cloudhr,I changed the file format from WAV to AAC and it solved my problem. I deleted the WAV files and re-imported the album using the AAC format in import settings under iTunes preferences.
