How can someone log into there administrator account if they don't have a password for it??

How can someone log into there administrator account that doesn't have a password for it?? Or how do you get a password for it??

MacBook Pro (15-inch Late 2011), OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

If you have forgotten your password and don’t have another admin account to log into,

Boot into Recovery by holding down cmd-r on restart.

Once booted, select Terminal from the Utilities menu.

In the Terminal window, type resetpassword.

Follow the prompts to select your hard drive and account, then reset the password.


You will lose your Keychain passwords, so you will have to reset your keychain once you change the account password and log in normally.
