Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Yesterday I upgraded my MacBook Pro to Yosemite and now on the login screen my name and my image won't appear and it says "Update Needed" I go over to Itunes or to the apple icon to check for an update on OS X and there's any update available. Help please? 😊

I have the same exact problem, the worst part is that it wastes time when logging in because supposedly its "updating". Hope someone could come up with a fix.
Just a follow up: after some research and playing around I noticed something called efilogin-helper that was taking energy and sometimes not responding. When I searched about it it seemed to happen because of FileVault and the ongoing encrypting/decrypting that was happening. Gonna try disabling it and see what happens.
I don't have the update needed screen anymore and probably it was 1. Firevault was encripting my data or 2. I didn't have Java installed. After those two things were done I got my logo and my computer name on the login screen back to normal, but still it goes through the process that looks like is been instaling something.
