Deleting Documents & Data from my Iphone

When I am trying to update back up my phone from iTunes my iTunes account is showing a very large portion of space being used by documents and data. First of all, what is this information and secondly how can I delete it and free up that space? using iPhone 4S running IOS 7.1

Hey Maximus316,

Thanks for the question. Based on what you stated, it seems like you want to manage your storage space on the iPhone. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

See how much storage you've used on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Documents & Data: App content such as contacts, calendars, messages, emails, and their attachments, Safari Offline Reading List, and files that you've created in your apps

How to delete content you've downloaded from the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, or Mac App Store
