No Minimize button in iTunes 12.0.1.26

I was also looking for the old minimise button that used to sit in the top right corner of iTunes 11 - gone.

I took some screenshots to show the instructions.

" the button is hidden on the pic of the album. When the mouse pointer is over that area appears."

Minimised miniplayer, to return to main window.

"when the player is minimized, you can get full sized again pressing the X"

I see the 'minimiser' shows up in the same place as the album cover, even without a track selected.

Here's the other neat trick - if I use the keyboard to switch to MiniPlayer (option-command-m) it creates a new window in MiniPlayer mode but the original window stays open.

Thanks, Finnish. I sure appreciate someone translating the insane changes Apple keeps making to iTunes to reduce it's functionality and understandability. Have they been taken over by Microsoft?

Do you suppose Apple has a bunch of developers whose job is to sit around thinking up ways to completely confuse users? Only reason I can think of for changing stuff that's been the same for years to something completely opposite and then hiding buttons underneath other things.
